This workshop introduced students to unmanned aerial vehicles — how they are built, how they fly and how they are used in agriculture, surveying, delivery and inspection.

- Types of drones and their real-world applications
- Components: frame, brushless motors, ESCs, flight controller and LiPo batteries
- Flight physics: thrust, yaw, pitch and roll
- Safe flying and India’s Drone Rules, 2021
Hands-on activity
Students assembled the main parts of a quadcopter in teams, practised on a flight simulator and watched a supervised live flight demonstration.
Outcome
Participants understood the full drone build process and the career opportunities in the growing UAV sector, with a path into our Drone Building & Flight Workshop.
